What about cheap group tuition online — isn't that the same thing?
Group tuition is more of the same. Your child already sits in a classroom with other students, follows a shared pace, and waits their turn for attention. A cheaper online group session gives them exactly that — just with a different teacher. It might be more targeted than school, but the fundamental problem remains: no one is looking specifically at your child, diagnosing their exact gaps, and fixing them in real time. That's what 1-to-1 does. There is no group equivalent.
My child's school already has small classes — why do they need a tutor?
Even 9 students in a class means 6 minutes of individual attention per hour. A-Level Maths demands more than that, especially in Pure and Mechanics. 1-to-1 isn't a luxury — it's the only way to ensure your child gets exactly what they need, every session.
How is this different from other tutors?
Most tutors are students or graduates with no teaching qualification. Imran is a qualified sixth form course leader with a First Class degree from King's, trained at UCL. He teaches A-Level Maths full-time. He knows exactly what examiners are looking for — because he's spent 7 years in the system.
What does the guarantee actually mean?
If your child engages fully — attends sessions, does the work, sits the mocks — and doesn't improve their grade, we continue teaching at no additional charge. The conditions are simple and fair. We're confident enough in the results to put our time on the line.
My child is already getting As. Is tutoring still worth it?
Yes. The difference between an A and an A* is exam technique, mark scheme fluency, and knowing exactly how examiners think. These aren't things most schools teach explicitly. One A* instead of an A could be the difference between your child's first and second choice university.
How does payment work?
Monthly in advance, paid on the 1st of each month. Bank transfer or standing order. Trial session paid at point of booking. No lock-in after the first month — though most students stay because results speak for themselves.
What if we need to cancel or reschedule?
More than 48 hours notice — reschedule at no charge. Less than 48 hours — full session fee applies. Genuine emergencies handled at discretion. The policy exists to protect your child's momentum as much as anything else.
What exam boards do you cover?
Edexcel, AQA, and OCR — all covered. Pure Mathematics, Statistics, and Mechanics. The diagnostic session in week one identifies your child's exam board, specification, and exact weak points before we begin.
How quickly will we see results?
Most students see measurable improvement within 4 to 6 sessions. One student improved from a C to an A* in just 4 lessons. Results depend on engagement and effort — but the method is proven to work fast.
